WebP has become one of the most widely used file formats on the web. Created by Google, WebP delivers reduced storage than JPEG and PNG with similar image fidelity. However, WebP remains universally compatible on all applications. Several traditional applications, mail applications and social media platforms only accept the universal JPG format.
